Panelist - Michigan's Political Landscape
Morning
Plenary - Michigan's Political Landscape
Michigan’s
political landscape is in for radical change. This year’s election cycle
will include races for all Constitutional Officers- Governor, Attorney
General, Secretary of State-all Michigan House seats and 29 of 38
veteran State Senators. We’ll also be faced with the question of whether
to hold a state Constitutional Convention. On top of all that, the
state’s fiscal crisis continues and lawmakers have to pass a budget with
a $2 billion deficit. What will these races and issues look like and
what impact will they have on the work of nonprofits? We’ll find out
from a panel of political experts who will explore these issues and give
the inside scoop on Michigan politics.
